Proud To be an Indian

I was enjoying Dublin' s drizzling , scenic beauty , amazing sweet , calm people,my work,shopping.
Here comes another day wen I went for shopping ....
There are two shops from the different countries side by side - India and our neighboring country (P*******n).Best option possible for Indian foods and materials...
I went to the neighbors shop first, took some food , groceries , ready to eat and all...wen I came to the billing counter..shopkeeper became happy to see uncommon face between the Europeans..that too of a Indian...He talked to me about my work, stay in Dublin, weather and all...I asked him a question .."Do you miss your own country where your roots are?.."...He replied.."No, not at all. It(neighboring country) has got nothing to be missed..it has terrorism, blasts, poverty and started cribbing...." ...I said nothing just sympathetic gestures..got my things billed..paid and came out..
Then by chance I haven't got some specific things in that shop..I went to an Indian shop...there was a Punjabi aunty ..she gave me a big smile..i collected my things from shop....and then she asked about me "beta ji aapka naam kya hai ? r u an Indian...luking pretty in suite" ....I said "Thanks" and gave my introduction...She told me she is here from past 15 years.....and I asked the same question "Do u miss India?".....There came the answer.."apne desh ki mitti apni hi hoti hai...hindustaan jaisa koi shehar nahi..idhar 15 saalon se hun magar sapne mein India ...apna gaon..khet..logg hi dikhte hain..main marne se pehle India zarur jaana chahungi.... " ...A big smile came on my face!!..which was incomparable to anything.......
I thought..here comes my country...my India ...people are in nooks and corners of the world..but having India in heart...
Miss you too.....

  1. I would say that Paki was honest, but that Indian aunty was a typical hypocrite Indian.

She was there for freaking 15 years and yearn to go back, which I can bet will never go, as she sees green bucks better than mitti ki khusboo.

If she would wanted, she could have gone long ago and start a decent life in India. But she sees Ireland as better country for existence. It's not all about country, money and needs take precedence over country.

Paki was honest in admitting, but Indian was hypocrite in doing something and meaning the other.

  2. Actually Bhupesh the Paki was honest because he had nothing really to talk on why he missed his country. But the aunty had no option, there is nothing bad about our country (dun get politicians here..lol) where ever you are.. any part of the globe.. you will still love your country i.e India, coz we are Indians.

So i can say, easy for the Paki guy to be honest, and the punjabi aunty loves her country, but she has to earn her living.. sometimes you don't think of the country when it comes to you.. because it is said, clean your house first and then clean your country.. i mean let her become stable enough!! then we can expect her to be loyal to her own country..

  3. Ra Ah, That's what I am talking about. I have lived abroad and have met folks like these. It's pure hypocrisy. They just love the country as long as they stay out of here. :)
